A Blessing

May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have.
May gentle breezes refresh your soul....
And, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world and know its beauty.

Ruby Moon

Last evening there was a full moon. Since I seem to have a relationship with this cosmic orb, I decided to go down to Saints Rest and watch it rise over the Bay of Fundy. The full moon always rises shortly after sunset. I was walking the beach, in the dark, waiting for him to show his face. It was a beautiful, warm evening. Unfortunately the mosquitoes were bad and I had to keep moving. It was getting late and I was about to turn around when I noticed a red, dim, glow on the horizon. I thought it was a ship but I could not figure out why it was glowing red. Then it started to brighten and it hit me that it was him, the moon. He was red, red, red, likely embarrassed because he almost missed our date. I had never seen a red moon before. I'd seen orange and yellow, but never red. When he had finally lifted his heavy head up out of the water he was still blushing casting red ripples onto the water. It was an awesome sight!

It also happened to be the eve of my birthday. I accepted the ruby moon as a wonderful gift for my birthday seeing as my birthstone is ruby as well. No fireworks could have matched that serene rise of the moon. I was so glad that I had taken the time to go and watch the show.

The moon followed me home, though he changed his robe to white and finally, when I turned out my light, he shone right through my window, into my bedroom and onto my pillow as if to say, I'm watching you too.

Shall I Compare Thee To A Summer's Day?

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date.
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
William Shakespeare (1564-1616)

The greatest weakness of most humans Is their hesitancy to tell others, how much they love them while they're alive.

Back Blogging

Hi everyone. I know I left my blog for far too long. Sorry. I'm back. Not only that, I've got a second blog going for my new program at CFMH, Sunny Side Up. Crazy! Check out the link www.cfmhsunnysideup.blogspot.com .

I've added a counter to my blogs so hopefully that will encourage me to keep up with them.

Forbidden Lovers

They were together in the House... Just the two of them. It was a cold, dark, stormy night. The storm had come quickly and each time the thunder boomed he watched her jump. She looked across the room and admired his strong appearance...and wished that he would take her in his arms, comfort her and protect her from the storm. She wanted that, more than anything.

Suddenly, with a pop, the power went out...she screamed...he raced to the sofa where she was cowering. He didn't hesitate to pull her into his arms. He knew this was a forbidden union and expected her to pull back. He was surprised when she didn't resist but instead, clung wildly to him. The storm raged on and there came a moment when each knew that they had to be together. They knew it was wrong... Their families would never understand. So consumed were they in their passion that they heard no opening of doors...just the faint click of a camera......
